OUR TEAM

WSIG provides a range of different opportunities and roles for students, all of those contributing to the success and productivity of our team. Student membership has two main levels: Affiliates and Analysts.

Affiliates form the club’s general population. They can attend meetings where they can either just observe or participate through voicing their opinions within the group.

Analysts, on the other hand, are specifically elected club members who have gone through rigorous training processes, interviews and pitches. This status allows them to vote for the companies the group invests in and buy and pitch stocks to the club. This also entails more responsibility in attending weekly meetings.

Sector Heads are members of the club with extensive knowledge of their sector, who work with analysts to evaluate investment opportunities and prepare detailed pitches to the whole group. Those are year-long commitments, switched over in April. Sector Heads are elected from the analyst pool by the other analysts.

The Director Team has five positions: Chief Investment Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer (responsible for day-to-day tasks of communication and organizational planning), Vice President (responsible for running the training program and coordinating volunteer activities) and President (responsible for making sure members know their roles, and planning meetings and events).

The Investment Committee consists of the Sector Heads and the Director Team.

All members are encouraged to participate regardless of their skill level.
